*gasp*

A showdown of sorts....

Gaah

So get this, apparently there is an offer on the house. However, it's low so the sellers made a counter offer. However since I suddenly came into the picture, the seller's agent talked to my agent and told him that if I wanted to make an offer tomorrow and it was better than the other offer, then they would retract the counter offer and go with mine. The finance person is waiting on one more lender in order to see who will give me the best deal. I could have been asked to make an offer today except that the seller's agent was lame and didn't get the seller's disclosure paper to my guy until around 8pm.

Somehow it seems odd to be moving this quickly on buying a house, however no one else seems to think so. It took me about 4 months to find Winona and about 2 weeks to decide to buy her. That was for about 1/20th of the money that this deal was for. I don't know what exactly I was expecting, but this feels very high noon-ish with a showdown to see who gets the house. All we need is the appropriate wild west music. If I get the house, then I'd be thrilled and quite pleased that things worked out so randomly well, if I don't get it, I'll be hitting my head against a wall or ten for not moving on it sooner.

I want that house though..... grrrr....

Yup, this sounds like us, too. Remember we went and looked at our house the first time out and were making an offer the next day? It's scary, but apparently it's not *that* unusual. Meghan J.'s brother did the same thing for his house in Salem, too.
Good luck.

I know about the whole vehicle buying thing OH so well. But, beleive in fate. If you are ment to have that house, you'll win the show down. I'd send you some tumble weeds, but after all, your the one who is living in the west!
