It's been a while. So here's a quiz. Deal.

Not sure if it's accurate, but its fairly flattering.....

Your score is

what does that mean?
Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

What is yours?

what's LJ cut?
i got 27. how can they tell anything from how i sit and talk? i'm going to watch people at lab meeting tomorrow.
Well I do remember one of the questions was something like "How do you stand when you talk to someone" and it had choices like "with arms crossed", "hands on hips" and others and that does connect to some established "body language" concepts (i.e. "arms crossed" is supposed to be somewhat defensive or distant, fidgeting is a sign of nervousness etc...).

I'm often skeptical of online quizzes, but questions about how you sit and talk do relate to how you carry yourself and what you project to others. A lot of the modern work on lie-detecting is based on the fact that people have a really hard time concealing physical signs of deception (and some are completely involuntary).

I don't know if I'd come up with descriptions as detailed as these based on that, but it seems like quite a few people are getting fairly accurate results.

Oh and <lj-cut> is what you use to split up a long post so that it doesn't show up on your friends pages. It'll cut there and when you click on the link that results, you get the comment page with the full post. you can also do <lj-cut text="something descriptive"> and you'll and lj-cut with the text "something descriptive" instead of the standard "Read More".

Ok, for reals now

yeah, it was kind of creepy since i've always known that: 1. i don't make friends easily and it takes me months before i'll even decide to talk or to hang out with someone 2. i'm willing to put up with nearly anything from someone once they've ventured into the "my friend" category. 3. i still don't trust kevin, but he does seem to be a special case. i don't think i've had any friends lose my trust like that. on the other hand, i don't think that many friends think i'm sensible or that clever. gullible, maybe... but sensible? clever? funny!
Well for the record, I always thought you quite were creative (which is a next door neighbor of clever).

As far as being sensible goes, I think you're capable of being quite sensible (you are a scientist after all), although I think you sometimes forgo acting on sensible ideas in the process of being creative (then again who am I to talk about acting sensibly? ;).

I think its interesting how two things that I definitely associate with you are two of the things you don't see yourself. I will refrain from commenting on the gullibity issue in order to avoid being expunged from the friend category :-p
Hey, you're a big sister; you HAVE to be sensible. And anyway, these things are all relative; you don't have to be sensible from an objective standard, just MORE sensible than everyone you interact with. Let's see... do you think your sister and your boy are SENSIBLE? I think you're waaaaay more sensible than they. Which is what matters.
