Change is good. Right?

Well change may be good, but it's not simple.

I've started looking at what exactly it'll take to relocate myself across town and so far (with the exception of the Post Office) all the changing around should fairly easy and can be done in a single day (or two). Still though, so far I've counted 20+ different companies/organizations that will care what my address is (and probably about 2x that many folks who may or may not care ;). The tricky part to all this is of course deciding exactly when the "move" should happen. Not moving my stuff, moving my actual place of residence (note: don't forget to change driver's license... finally). I may end up staying at the new house before my official move if everything get switched over early. I think that with Thanksgiving happening that week I'm going to aim for earlier rather than later.

It's a good thing I'm giving myself that moving week. That's making the difference between a complicated but manageable move and an insane and ugly one.

If it wasn't for the last minute nothing would get done. -Unknown
