Teeth Rattling

After a nearly 12 hour day, I came home and took a very long very hot shower. I once again busted my butt to get work done and we were mostly succesful. Of course I know that I have to get up and do even more work tomorrow morning.

In case you are curious, using a jackhammer for a few hours actually hurts. My arms and hands are in pain, my shoulder and back muscles are completely worn out and my hands are well on their way to getting some significant callouses (as if I didn't already have fairly rough hands :-/ ).

Despite all that at least I have one bit of good news. I didn't watch the state of the un-union address. I heard about it and I'm pretty glad I missed it. Oh, and be on the look out for a bit of a treat shortly.

Harry Reed's response to the state of the union was actually pretty good. I think he's my new hero.
I'm seriously thinking about avoiding all politics for the next 4 years or so. Failing that, there's no shame in running away :-p

I may have to go check out his response though (call it morbid curiosity)

Men on jackhammers...

You were using a jackhammer? Yummy! I bet you're a hottie hot w/ all those muscles going! Just curious, but what are you tearing up?

I didn't watch the State of the Union either. I have made a vow to NOT expose myself to that moron as much as possible. Gimme a summary! haha!

Re: Men on jackhammers...

Heh, I wish. Right now I'm a pained grump with very sore muscles.

We were tearing up a street so that we could install some utility lines for a property. Unfortunately we had to break through some 2-sack (a mixture of 2 parts sand to 1 part cement that's used instead of compacting excavations in the street) that had been poured over a water line that ran perpindicular to our trench. So out comes the jackhammer to break through the cement (not quite as bad as breaking up reinforced concrete, but still a pain... literally ;).

WRT TSU, From what I've heard, I already knew what he was going to say and where he was going with things. If anything I'm just dreading that he'll come up with something even worse and more depressing. Overall, he just annoys me and I was not about to waste my time with him.
I watched the Mythbusters special on Discovery, and you know what, I learned alot more than I would have watching the address. I can build my own crash dummy now! Oh wait... isn't Dick Cheney one? *snicker* :)
Heh, just what every home needs.... hmmm... that actually seems kinda cool now that I think about it...
