Reassuring signage

This'll make you think twice when you visit a rest stop in NM (at least in the summer).

Usually the rattlesnakes leave you alone. They only get feisty if you happen to step on them. We used to go fossil hunting out past Rio Puerco off 1-40 west outside of Albuquerque all the time in early spring and summer months. We used to see massive amounts of rattlesnakes out there. They scare the beeeejeeeebus out of you at first, but just back away slowly, don't make any sudden moves, and leave them alone, and chances are they'll leave you alone. It's weird how accustomed one becomes to things like that. Similar to people that live in California and the way they view earthquakes.
