So much for that...

The place that looked promising ended up not working out. They bumped up the pet deposit that they wanted to about $3,000. The critters are certainly worth it, but I don't think that's really feasible. So I'm switching to plan B and I'll be looking to buy a house instead. I'm really not sure what the finances for that will be like though.

I'm a bit worried about this since I really don't know the area at all so it's a bit hard to get enthusiastic about it without getting a bit frazzled about buying a house on such short notice.
